We made a detour and stopped at Mrs. Onyinyechi Uwaeke’s compound, under the excruciating sun. We introduced ourselves and we subsequently learned from her that her movements are severely restricted due to the fact that she is unable to walk properly due to severe injuries to both of her legs and swollen legs.
She uses crutches to assist her in moving. She was with her children as she described her experience to us; she uses her young children to help her sell kerosene by the side of the road. She was awed by our visit and lacked the words to express it. She gave us her blessings as we sat with her for a bit and handed her our gifts, which made her smile. She was ecstatic and thanked LPI
