Health care centers, its essentiality.

Health care is defined as the organized provision of medical care for individuals or communities by health professionals and it can also be defined as efforts made to maintain or restore physical, mental, or emotional well-being especially by trained and licensed professionals. The main purpose of health care is to maintain health and make life better for individuals.

There are three parts of health care,
The primary: which covers meeting people’s health needs through comprehensive promotive, protective, preventive, curative, rehabilitative, and palliative care throughout the life course, this is the most important aspect of health care as it generalizes an individuals health needs from birth to death.

The secondary health care is a care system where most people end up when they have a medical condition to deal with that can’t be handled at the primary care level. Secondary care simply means you will be taken care of by someone who has more specific expertise in what is ailing you, for example you need surgery which is beyond primary care, you get referred to a surgeon who is not your primary care give.

The tetiary health care is a level of health care that has to deal with experts Working on a health care that is above the Workings of both primary and secondary health care, it is given out by specialist in specific fields of health.

Importance of health care services:

  1. Without access to healthcare, people are far more at risk. Diseases, malnutrition, pregnancy – all can become incredibly dangerous without proper help and support.
  2. Access to comprehensive, quality health care services is important for promoting and maintaining health, preventing and managing disease, reducing unnecessary disability and premature death, and achieving health equity for all.
Since the importance greatly outshines any disadvantage, it is safe to say it is of great need that health care services be available to every person. And that health care centers be provided for even the most rural of areas as they are at high risk of suffering without its services. However, for many people across the world, this is simply not an option. Those living in poverty or dealing with the devastating effects of war and conflict do not have access to healthcare – even the most basic medical supplies are out of reach for many vulnerable people hence the need for NGOs to step in and bridge the gap between poverty and necessary health care for those in desperate need of it.
Health care centers should be made available in underdeveloped areas that are at risk of diseases from situations like lack of proper hygiene, outbreak of infectious illness e.t.c. these people need orientation on primary care available and necessary for their well being, there is need for more Health care centers around the world especially the areas recovering from pandemic and aftereffects of war.
