In times of plenty, it’s easy to overlook what the lack of basic amenities can mean to most
People can mean.
In today’s world, there are still people who perceive basic amenities as luxuries they cannot afford. A simple coat to keep warm, clean drinking water to stay healthy and cook good meals with it, nutritious food to feed the whole family, decent clothing to keep warm, food to keep from starving. All of these and much more are the basic amenities that much of the world lives without.
In the spirit of the holidays, most local churches, non-governmental organizations and homeless shelters are actively promoting the donation of these small but much-needed items to needy individuals and families.
The main purpose of this is to ensure that the goodwill of the Christmas season reaches many less privileged people, especially those who have no hope for a better Christmas or do not know how to feed their families.
With donations of clothing, food, toothbrushes and toothpaste, sanitary napkins and canned food packages, life would be so much better for those in need.
This is a reminder for you to sort through your wardrobe and send what you no longer need to a home near you that needs it, especially orphanages.
Put smiles on faces this festive season. Spread vacation cheer to anyone you can help.
