WHO IS A HUMANITARIAN

According to the dictionary definition, a humanitarian is a person who works for the welfare of people, whether through physical efforts or donations to institutions that change lives and improve the lives of those in need.

A humanitarian is committed to making life more bearable for others, either by donating large sums of money to community rehabilitation projects or sponsoring scholarship programs for children who cannot afford a basic education.

One of the things that distinguish humanitarians is that they put themselves entirely at the service of humanity. Their burning zeal to make life more bearable for their neighbor is a driving force that propels them to act, even when it is life-threatening. These people have only good intentions and are committed to reducing human suffering.

A typical example of humanitarian workers are volunteers who are on the front lines in countries suffering from major conflicts. These people work hard to provide a better life for victims of crises by helping them overcome the trauma that such events have caused. These volunteers are true heroes, they are the definition of selfless humanitarian helpers who put the needs of others before their own, they do not worry about the safety of their lives but are fully committed to helping those members of society who have no one to help them.

For the less privileged, a humanitarian is a lifesaver; for the other members of society, a humanitarian is a model of selfless service who deserves recognition for all the good work he/she does.

Humanitarian aid is a form of humanitarian assistance that is usually provided on a short-term basis in areas affected by natural or man-made disasters. This type of aid usually takes the form of material support or logistics. https://orangeprojects.lt/en/activities/humanitarian-aid.

World Humanitarian Day is a day observed in honor of those who have lost their lives as a result of their work in the service of humanity. It is a day when the world celebrates people who have shown commitment, courage and determination to help people in need, despite the risks associated with their work.

With this article, we encourage people who have a burning desire to serve the world to continue their good work and remind them that even if the deeds they perform are not of global scale, they are saving one life at a time and making the world a better place.

At LEMA PLAN INTERNATIONAL, we join the world in celebrating the great humanitarians who, in one way or another, have impacted the lives of others.
